Hives, that is. I think I talked about her hives outbreak on Sunday in my other blog.

She started to break out again tonight, but I caught it when there were just a few bumps on her – on her chest, wrist, inside knee and an ankle – before they got out of hand, and gave her a dose of Benedryl.

The environment was different this time. Last time we were at the grocery store when it started. She was sitting in a cart, and it just seemed to show up out of the blue.

This time, we were at home, and were getting ready to go pick up dinner. I just started to get her out of her PJs (it was a PJ day, after this morning’s events), and noticed the ones on her torso. So weird.

I wonder if I should be writing up a note and taking the bottle of Benedryl to daycare with her tomorrow in case she has a break out there. That crap spreads quick (at least for her), and makes her completely uncomfortable – to the point where she says it hurts – and we work an hour away from the daycare, there is no way we’d get there in time to dose her to start to ease her suffering. She’d be an utter mess.

I think that is what I’m going to do, write up a note tonight and print it out and take it with us. Usually there is some form we have to sign for medications, but hopefully they’ll accept a letter for the short term.
