Birthday parties

The Kiddo was invited to her first non-family birthday party this weekend.  It’s for one of her classmates in pre-school.  It should be interesting since the time is right about when she would normally go down for a nap if it were a school day, so I plan on letting her stay up a little bit later Saturday night so she’ll wake up later on Sunday and hopefully be just about ready for her nap when we leave the party.

I still have to go shopping and find a gift for her friend.  Her friend’s mom said anything Dora would be fine, her life revolves around Dora right now.  I looked at W@l-M@rt the other day but their selection of Dora stuff was rather pathetic, so I’ll be going to ToysR#s probably sometime tonight or tomorrow to see what they have to offer.

I can’t believe they are having birthday parties with friends so young. I didn’t get to have one with friends until I was in the 2nd grade.

I think my first birthday party inviting friends was when I was 5. It was only a handful of kids and was at my parent’s house.
